This is happening now and will continue on happening as the economy of the US gets worse. This is very sad that this is happening but it is reality. The rich are getting richer while the poor are becoming poorer.

This is so sad. As christians, the bible tells us what pure religion is in the eyes of God.
Jas 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
To VISIT, means so much more in the scripture than how we now define the word. In the scripture, it also meant to RELIEVE, not just to go see them. We relieve them from the pain of hunger, the pain of being cold, the pain of being in need of the necessary things of this existance.

But, even with this we are commanded the following.
2Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
So many in these times have purposely made homelessness a way of life. We must use wisdom and pray and discern between the 2 types, those in true need and those who use the system and the kindness of strangers.
