We ask you to punish our enemies but then ask to save us when we have been participants in grand larceny
We have become your reproach
We have not stood up, we remain seated
As fattened calves led to slaughter
We have been swept up with those who enter the broad way

Break the secret covenant that has us blind and bound
We have used YOUR NAME and denied YOUR POWER
We have defiled YOUR HOLY TEMPLE
By the ways of the gentiles
Open our eyes so that we can see
Open our ears so that we can hear
We are dumb and deaf mutes
Not knowing what is coming
We have turned away from You
And now expect YOU to turn to us in the time of trouble

We have forsaken Your Torah
We have made idols and feasts for ourselves
We have spoken words when they were not Yours
We have misrepresented You and we have rejected knowing Your TRUTH
We blame others for our iniquity
We hide from your correction
We have taken You for granted and we have wasted Your GIFT
But Your Loving Kindness Endures Forever!
