Hi everyone,
Many of you are already aware that there was a winter ice storm in parts of the U.S. Late Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Our household was blessed compared to the majority of the people in our areas. Northern Oakland County, Genessee, Shiawassee and other counties in Michigan as well have lost power and the estimated restoration is well after Christmas. We have our power by the Grace of God but do not have internet and phone service has been intermittent with the server we have. Pastor Dave has done a couple videos however he is not able to upload them from McDonalds or Panera WIFI for whatever reason. He has been out helping anyone he can with the resources we have. The temps have dropped and we have more snow on top of the freezing rain, so it's making restoration of power more difficult for the workers. Red Cross has opened additional warming centers but there are people who can't get to them. We are doing everything we can to help these people. Please pray for the well being of the elderly and the disabled who are being affected the most. Winter is a tough time to be without power with loss of heat and in most cases water. Know that pastor Dave will be back to YOUTUBE as soon as our internet is restored. He will try to get on this board to post from a remote location but his focus right now is helping those in need. I have power and internet at my job so I was able to give you this update.
